Mark ButterfieldMark Butterfield is a Director with Halligan & Co. Mark was formerly a partner of PKF where he specialised in business valuation services. Before that, in a career of over 20 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, he was a Director in the forensic accounting practice and earlier a Director in the business valuation practice. Mark’s experience also includes his time as the Head of Consulting for AME Mineral Economics, one of the world’s foremost mineral commodity economics and commodity supply-chain research and analysis firms. Mark specialises in business valuation and forensic accounting and has undertaken many large and complex assignments for national and international clients over a wide variety of industries and for a wide variety of purposes. Mark has provided expert evidence on valuation and forensic accounting matters before the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Family Court, and the Bankruptcy Court of Thailand. Mark has taken a leadership role in the business valuation profession through his involvement on the founding committee of the Business Valuation Special Interest Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the faculty task force for the business valuation topics for the diploma and masters level courses of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
